I wrote to MBNA in June re PPI and after several reminders they agreed to pay me back £986.16 + £73.83 which they said would be credited to my account. I wrote back immediately and said I wanted a cheque and have just received another letter saying that they are looking at my complaint and will be not respond till early next year (this is the 2nd letter putting of decision)
is there a phone number that you can contact them, this is now getting to ridiculous stage. They have had the claim now for 6 months and am still pursuing them.
They have not credited the money to my account either but this might be because I asked for a cheque.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Try 0800 917 6592. That's the number I used for all my PPI claims.

Phoned MBNA and success at last they have sent cheque out should get it by next Friday, will be watching post every day. Can't thank you enough for the phone number, would give you a hug if you were here.

Still waiting for cheque, phoned twice and both times have been told it will be posted in couple of days. Now supposed to be posted on 28th December - believe that if you want !!!!!!!!!!

So sorry to hear that your still waiting.

Think the post should be getting back to normal again, maybe Monday or Tuesday, so lets hope you receive your money by then, fingers crossed, look forward to hearing from you.;)
