I agree there is more to this story.

She should be able to receive income support and she should be receiving child tax credit and child benefit.

She would not receive a letter telling her to get a job - even if the children were over the age for IS, she would just be moved to JSA.

Plus, JCP would be very reluctant to speak with you about it.

    Something isn't adding up!
  • First “Bunny999” that is the entire story, those amongst others are the benefits that have been stopped, and yes she has been told to get a job within ear shot of people at the Job Centre. The father of one of her children is currently residing in prison, for raping her. She has also contacted the Job Centre as mentioned in previos posts. Perhaps you shouldn’t pre-judge those you don’t know.

Bryando she’s at the last of her savings, so the children have had food at the expense of her eating little.
  • Definitely something fishy about this; somebody somewhere is telling porkies!

Agreed there is more to this. However the way the first post stated. A 8 wk baby involved and no money to get anything. I'm a bit worried, can't help it sorry. If I had a baby I would be banging doors so to speak.
  • I came here for advice, and possible help for my friend. Not judgement or political opnions.
So please, if it isn't something that will aid me in getting things sorted for her, don't post it.

A don't know the woman. However still can't stop worrying.
  • So because I have titled my thread Christmas Help, its fishy. I am just trying to help somebody in need, as mentioned before if all you are going to do is judge it oppose what this site is for. If all people are going to be suspicious its an upsetting state of society

There isn't she was sent a letter stating she needs to get a job as her benfits wil stop. They have now. I've contacted them and asked them why, and they've said her children are at an age, and she needs to work.

Two months, and she has to go to the job centre to use the telephones there as the number is 0845.

Thank you for the suggestions Bryando.
So her children are of age that she has to come of Income support and apply for JSA.
E2A: I just noticed she has an 8 week old baby, more than meets the eye here.
    *SIGH*
