DFS sofa not yet delivered, now £300 cheaper!

Hi, we paid a £600 deposit for a new sofa from DFS 5 weeks ago and are waiting for it to be delivered (on xmas eve!:eek:)...

..I have just looked on their website and the same sofa is now £300 cheaper. Hubby is wanting to ring the shop and ask if they will reduce ours, but I thought I would ask on here for any advice before we ring, of what to say etc.

they don't have to do anything, they may do a gesture of goodwill, for £300 it's worth asking

got to be worth asking , i know i would . not sure if legally so to speak as you havent taken delivery they would have to honour the new price . must be annoying for you , just think that £300 could have almost bought a coffee table aswell

you should always wait for the sale before buying from DFS. They aren't on very often but when they are on you get some great bargains

Thanks for your replies, it was in the sale, it was supposed to be 50% off when we bought it!

Just an update!... I rang DFS and they knocked £300 off the remaining balance I had to pay!
