Selling Car at Auction? Good Idea?

Since you have a reserve on it I would have reduced the starting price, you wouldn't lose out that way. 99p starts get many more people interested and just like a normal auction you will get the odd frenzied bidder going higher than they expected. Starting at £1000 stops some of that frenzy.
That was my first impression too. £1000 for a punto and the reserves not met yet? Sort of puts you off reading more.0 -
OK everyone. Thanks for bullying me into putting it on ebay. Got 2350 in the end. That's £600 quid more than I would have got from webuyanycar (and that before they turned up and knocked even more off their offer).
Quite stressful selling to a stranger who didn't even view it before bidding - but he turned up with the cash, seemed happy enough and paid.
Obviously, I'm chuffed.0 -
