Webcam problem

I have just bought a Logitech Quickcam pro 5000. I have installed all software and drivers etc. When i try to use the camera, on the box where you can take a snapshot of something, there are just lines of colour rolling instead of the object Any ideas whats up?

webcams are mostly plug n play, so if your running windows XP return it and get a replacement or an alternative.

If you want to test it another way that definetly will work on XP (if the webcam isnt broken) is to test it on MSN Messenger.

Tested it on MSN Messenger and the same thing happens, all i see is coloured lines rolling, i'll take it back for a swap then :beer: I do have Windows XP so it should be ok. Oh well i'll let you know if the replacement works

before you rush back, have you tried altering the web cams settings?
