Still trying to decide what to do with my kitchen/diner floor. I've seen pine T&G floorboards on the Wickes website, quite like the idea of a real wood floor, it they were varnished should be OK in a kitchen but how do you fit them?

Easy to fit, they just click into place, however make sure you buy some 'self leveller' from a DIY store to guarantee an even lay. Mix it with water, pour down and it will do as it says, very simple. Also, you would be best to buy the under- boards to give you a cushioned lining and stop floor raising or sinking in places, plus, buy edging strips to finish off. Remember this tho, make sure the the under boards you buy do not raise the floor to a point that you cant open a door ok.0
