What are my rights with a catalogue company substandard product??

I purchased a flat screen TV on 28th March this year, after two months it started to go blank and switch itself off. I connected Very who put me in touch with a repair company (not Philips i might add, but whoever their repairers are) They subsequently removed the TV for repair returning some 2 weeks later leaving me without anything to watch, ‘very’ refused to replace at the time stating their policy was to send an engineer out to clarify the problem. The problem has occurred once again, the exact same fault, again i rang ‘very’ to complain, again they insisted that i call another number to report the fault, i did, and then was told to await a call from the repair centre, which i duly got. They will remove the set again, probably for two weeks again, are out of stock on loan TV’s thus i will look forward to a bleak Christmas. I am not happy, nor have i any confidence with this TV not going wrong again, once the warranty expires next march, and i would prefer to have a new model or my money back. Can somebody please explain my rights as very just will not listen to me, and are quite ignorant to my plight. Thanks, Richard

They are within their rights to repair. They must not cause you significant inconvenience, but what you may perceive as "significant" may not actually be so.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
