I was intrigued by the respnses to Austin and emailed them.
Those who thought it stood for the founders in Blackpool were right.

I didn't realise how much a saving the Jamie Oliver pesto's were. I think OH paid 49p each - Tesco this morning, £2.79 each!

Bumping up for some good deals in the food aisle -

Massive catering style jars of herbs and spices either £1.49 or 99p each. Here's the ones I can remember -

    Ground ginger
    Chili Powder
    Garam Masala
    Chives
    Ground white pepper
    Cracked black pepper
    Chinese 5 spice
    Tumeric (I think)
    Bouquet Garni

And some more. Same as these http://www.britstore.co.uk/Cooking-Aids-Schwartz-Catering-Size-Jars/c243_1318/index.html

Heinz piri piri and lime ketchup 39p
Heinz chilli and lime mayo 39p
Sachets of pasta seasoning with chilli, garlic and parsley 39p each. Just fry in a little oil and mix in cooked pasta.

  • My B&M in Coventry is a Homestore one - pfft - so it doesn't really have much food. Gah!

However, I did pick up my bits and pieces for Easter there:

    3 x Creme Eggs = 99p
    6 x Creme Eggs = 1.99
    3 x Cadbury Caramel Eggs = 99p

    :)

I find that a lot of the homey decorative stuff is from Au Naturale, maybe just from last season or whatever, but a lot cheaper! The ones with the black circle price sticker with the white price in, but they'll have a red and white reduced sticker on too. Stuff like vases and canvasses etc. For instance there's a lovely mirrored jewellery box with 3 little drawers in, £10 Au Naturale sticker on, then a £2.99 'reduced' sticker, which is just the actual B&M price of them. There was a B&M homestore superstore near my old house in Newcastle, it was huge! They had loads of lovely stuff in there!

  • I popped into B&m today and picked up a few bits of food:

500ml (bigger bottle) of wild berries lucozade energy- 39p
13 raspberry fabulous baking boys flapjack fingers (the traybake type ones)- 39p
Castus fruit bars- 49p for pack of 5
Bamba snacks (these kosher peanut crisp things)- 10p a bag
Always have these but 9 penguins- 69p

They also had either wholemeal or white Napolina dried pastas for 59p a packet and jamie oliver olives/pesto/pasta all 79p or less which is so much less then in supermarkets.
