Starting thread cos I did something!
My gardener has worldcup fever and is nowhere to be found!
(I know, gardener. Trust me, as soon as I have a job which means I'm home in the week, he's going. But I can't face laundry hoovering etc AND garden at the weekend.)
So as it (finally!) isn't blazing hot, did it myself and saved £20. And a theoretical £3.95 gym entry.
Also, 2nd hand futon arriving at 4pm with minimal assembly required! Then get to take sledgehammer to old (exhausted, nonfixable) suite!
Still got fathers day to sort.
Sadly garden monet can't go into benefit challenge pot as no way I would have a gardener if on bens!!

I bought some manicuring stuff from the pound shop as my nails look even worse since starting with the allotment. ( i know i cant be sacked for horrid nails but when i am suited up & shaking hands with people at work my hands still look like bob flowerdews, so i thought it might be time to make an effort.)
Also preparing a barbie for fathers day. We have to eat anyway so minimal further cost.
Today we have been invited out for dinner & am taking 2 nice bottles of wine (and a bottle of Lidl cola-yum) that i won in a charity horserace at work.
Not bad really but have fallen off the wagon lately so this is baby steps back to reality.

After months of waiting for DH to arrange a decorator, I'm painting the hall myself. I'll do each room in turn, take the opportunity to freecycle clutter, and save loads of money!
Anastacia - I've found that wearing latex gloves when gardening is a great way of saving your hands. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0 -

Went shopping at Tesco and spent £26 which covered the cost of our meat for a week and I have a £20 voucher to spend on Asda to get all my fruit and veg for a week.
Bought a lime and some value ginger snaps (total 36p) so that I can make a key lime pie and use up some condense milk that my OH bought by mistake. MMMM!!
Going to go onto CD wow later and try to get a b-day present for OH using my £5 voucher."A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain." Mark Twain0 -
