Bloody brilliant, what was your original figures? Did you pay the loan to term or is it still going? ALso what were the figures from the agreement so I can try and work it out for you? I need loan without interest, PPI without interest, length of loan and repayment amount. Thats if I can assist:T

(I can only do it very rough though as I note you had one loan to pay off the other so don't know how to do these TBH as they run into each other.)

You are getting to the figure that may worth be accepting. Especially if this £5000 can clear debts that are costing £100-£150pm in interest. If it goes to the FOS it could take 6-18 months. You may gain more but you may end up paying more in interest on debts that could have been cleared.

If it was just going to end up in a savings account, then its a different matter.

    Hi marshallka
both loans were paid off within months really, but the insurance was never cancelled as we thought it was done when loans paid off, now we know different. The first one will only have a couple of months left to run as it was taken out in 2005, but there is a year on second so might get a little rebate on that one,
quite happy with their response really, ;)

Yes i think going to accept as might take a while with FOS and it will clear some debts off now, would prob lose a £1000.00 in interest but there is also that risk of it not been upheld(i know prob wouldnt happen) but dont want to chance my luck.

Hi juliet1972, I remember your complaint was forwarded to Bespoke wasn't it? Did you get anywhere with it cause i know that in cases like yours FOS is actually taking the complaints against insurers. Might be worth a shot to you..;)

If you are happy with their amount (which I must admit has gone up considerably since the first £1000:j) then accept and have a very merry christmas. FOS is taking about 12 to even 18 months for complaints now so if you need the money quick and £5000 would really help then great and fab work....just goes to show that they do "cave" in at times.
