It is expensive both to buy and for the tests each month. However I like having mine due to other health issues it reassures me that things are normal and highlights any problems with my medication before I would otherwise find out. (This is obviously because it shows ovulating normally) I would say though that I have been using it for 12 months now and still waiting for the elusive positve pg test!0

Yes. I started using it when we had been trying to conceive our third child for more than 18months, and was pregnant 3 months later. As becs has said though it is pricey to buy and the sticks are also expensive. If you haven't already done so, it would be worth getting the GP to do a day 21 progesterone test first, so you know you are actually ovulating. If you are, then the CBFM will help you work out when in the month and would be a good buy, if you aren't then the GP would be the first port of call anyway to find out why not.0

Hi, I have spent lots of money on various ovulation kits after years of trying for a baby which unfortunately didn't work. I then was told about a website called mymonthlycycles.com, followed it to the letter and the first month I was pregnant. This was after 2 cycles of IVF which had failed.
It was maybe a coincidence I don't know but I would say it's worth a go.
Best of luck to you!
Can I just add that although ovulation kits confirm that the hormone is being released it doesn't confirm that the egg has made it's way down the fallopian tube, so there may still be a problem. Only a laparoscopy can confirm this.0 -

with in the first 2 months of tracking my ovulation with these i fell preg and now my daughter is 30 -
Nope, I wouldn't bother.
Have you tried Deanna's plan? (Google it if you haven't heard of it). Maybe try that for a couple of months first - it worked for me and so many people I know.0 -
I know people who got pregnant using it, but in the end just taking your temperature and using a site like fertility friend is just as good.
As a general rule women are about to ovulate when they start feeling horny!!
Good luck!!!50p/£24.00 Xmas 2010:rudolf:
