How do I delete AVG?

I'm in the process of changing my parent's anti virus from AVG to Avira AntiVir. How do I go about deleting AVG from the system. Its Vista and I'm not too familiar with it.

Hi thanks for the reply. I only ask because I'm sure when I uninstalled it from my own PC it was a bit more complicated than that. I just wanted to check because my visit ends tomorrow and i don't want to leave them with problems!!

Ok Tried that..... unistall failed

Use the AVG uninstaller program from here.

Do I use the 32bit or 64bit or doesn't it matter? I don't need to use all those on offer do i?

As you obviously don't really know what you are doing, is it wise to be meddling with your parents PC just before you leave them?

The 32 bit version.
Alternatively, stop AVG and then you should be able to uninstall. If this does not work then boot into Safe Mode, make sure AVG is not running, and then uninstall.
