I bought the pizzas today and came home and told hubby about this thread. he cut out all the tokens and returned to tesco to buy a printer cartridge. he asked the guy at the till if he could redeem the vouchers if he wasn't buying the products stated on the them. The guy thought hubby was mad but said he would try it. £2 discount came off:j . Tesco man couldn't believe it and was very impressed.
Don't think i would try this unless I was doing a big shop but Hubby has the nerve and is making me cut out coupons in magazines at a rate of knots:D

    Go for it, Garret1!! :T

I bought two Summer sunloungers from my local Tesco recently, partly funded by a '£10 off £50 spend' Sainsbury's voucher and a large handful of
20p-off bread coupons...seems odd doesn't it, but you soon get used to it.

By the way I still had to pay around £35 on my Credit Card that time, but I have had Tesco (and Asda) accept as many money-off vouchers as I had in my pocket which reduced around £60 of groceries to about £6!

Do read previous MSE threads on 'coupons' though, as you need to view it as a bonus which you will not get every time (e.g. if you pick the 'jobsworth' Cashier!). Also, some people have been banned for 'abusing' a store's coupon-policy - best bet is to ask Customer Services in your chosen store(s) what the policy is. Don't be shy they won't think you are mad (unless you try in Sainsburys or M&S of course!). :o
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ah this takes me back to the early 90's where they had an offer with Chicago Town Pizzas in Iceland.

You bought a box of two pizzas which had a label stuck on the box for a free box of the same pizzas.

So you went back into Iceland and handed over the voucher and they gave you a free box......with another label stuck on the box...so you went back to Iceland and picked up another box and handed over the voucher for the new box with another label......continue ad infinitum :D

Lol..reminds me of an offer that twix/mars bar had in the 90's, it was a competition and 1 in 4 bars you won a free one, but you could see through the packaging, so it was easy to just keep getting the winning bars. Surprised I didn't gain a ton in weight..hehe!

Been into Tescos today to grab another couple of boxes, and really had to hunt thru them to find the ones with the coupons on the back.......so the £1 worth of coupons might be coming to an end !

EXACTLY right when you say.... "If he hadn't already bought them they would be his next purchase"

So...by cutting out vouchers from something he didn't own it's tantamount to theft.

You can put as many winks as you want in your post,....my understanding was that this forum is about sensible, honest tips...not being sneaky and sly.

I went into Tesco last night and got two boxes of the pizza...when I got home I realised only one of the boxes had the coupons!
