Sky credit card

I continue to encounter problems with my Sky credit card, last month they admitted to having a major problem with the computer system and this was the reason why no payment was debited and they awarded me £60 compensation. I gave them my D/D details once again over the phone and was assured this would not happen again. Today, to my surprise I have received the letter below:

“We were recently contacted by your bank or Building Society in regard to the direct debit instruction on your Sky card account. Please note we have now cancelled the direct debit instruction with immediate effect as instruction cancelled by payer”

I have not cancelled the D/D and my bank confirms this was never setup!

I telephone Sky card this morning and talked with Brian Isaacs, a supervisor who freely admitted SKY card have lost all D/D records for many recent customers, but once I told him I was very unhappy with the dishonest nature of the letters being sent from Sky card he changed his tune and said the cancellation request must be genuine, so I requested proof of the banks cancellation notice.

I would be interested to learn if anyone is experiencing a similar problem with Sky card at the moment?
