Who supplies Wickes kitchens?

Does anyone know who supplies Wickes kitchens and whether you can buy direct from them?

We are currently renovating an old house and as it's a money pit we are trying to get trade discount on a kitchen but Wickes don't seem to offer one and their Heritage kitchen is our favourite...

This makes their kitchens very expensive against eg Magnet who we can get a 60% discount off... Any help/advice greatly appreciated!

if a wickes unit is just 40 quid and the magnet one is 100 quid. then 60% off means nowt.
wickes is very hard to beat on price. its the final price paid that counts.
    Get some gorm.

So called discounts mean nothing. The only thing that matters is the bottom line. Most discounted high price items are jacked up just so they can be "discounted".
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Benchmarx and Wickes are owned by Travis Perkins. Benchmarx stocks the same kitchen as Wickes under different names and their kitchen units come factory built whereas Wickes require assembling. Benchmarx is trade only so you need to find a tradesperson to go through but they offer the design service and will price match on appliances. We are currently getting a new kitchen through them and they come highly recommended by our builder.
  • Hi,
I went to Wickes yesterday and the sales person said the discounts are starting next week. so checkout which one comes cheaper.
  • Hi, I have recently had a kitchen design done by Benchmarx and really like it. Does anyone know whether Wickes are likely to ever be cheaper than Benchmarx for the same product. Thank you
  • The problem Ive encountered with Wickes is they employ people who know naff all about kitchens. On more than one occaision customers have had their kitchens delivered only to find half of it missing ,when you phone up God help you if you need to discuss any technical problems. The conversation is always re-layed to a 3rd party........
I would never recommend Wickes for kitchens......Benchmarx are similar to Howdens and find both fine to deal with..
  • My hubby works for Travis Perkins in sales and he said Wickes kitchens are made by Gower. You can order them from TP and negotiate a discount coz they have a lot more flexibilty than Wickes.
  • Thanks everyone for your input.

Can anyone deal with TP / Benchmarx or do you need to be a registered tradesperson?

And if we're doing massive renovations would it be worth our while to set ourselves up as a business?
