Using audio bluetooth headphones with a laptop

Hi

I'm thinking of buying a pair of Creative bluetooth audio headphones to use with my Vaio A215z Laptop (with built-in bluetooth), however i read somewhere that the bluetooth device has to be 'A2DP compliant' to use with audio bluetooth headphones. So is the bluetooth built-in on my laptop A2DP compliant? (whatever that means!!!)

Thanks in advance.

The Advanced Audio Distribution Profile in Bluetooth™ specifies the protocols and procedures that define the distribution of high quality audio content, in either mono or stereo on ACL (Asynchronous Connectionless link) channels.

Your laptop doesnt look compatible going by Sony's site, and anyways you get a better sound from a wired set of headphones, IMHO.

    hi Quincy

Thanks for your reply, having googled A2DP i think the bluetooth profile on my notebook has to be updated with the A2DP profile. I'll carry on looking on the web.

    Cheers
