Granite worktops required, can anyone reccommend any good companies?

Im looking to put some granite worktops in my kitchen (preferably black) and wondered if anyone could reccommend any good firms in my area (Surrey). Obviously im looking for good prices and good quality.

Has anyone tried Mister Marble or granite fitters? Or another recommendation would be of great help.

We are looking into granite worktops at the moment and while we haven't used them we found Mister Marble to be very unhelpful when it came to giving a detailed quote and verging on rude at times when contacted by phone. OH also found some negative comments online when searching hence we are steering well clear. They might be great when it comes to supplying and fitting but our experience certainly put us off.

My sister in Camberley had granite worktops from 'Granite Dynamics' and is very pleased with the quality, fitting & price.

My son is well pleased with the price, and service of Diapol. They are based in Estonia but have teams in at least 12 European countries. The fitters speak excellent English. I can thoroughly recommend them.

Hi I have just had worktops from http://www.myitalianinteriors.co.uk/, my mother also had hers done after me by same company. She had black granite and I had the quartz stone. Both very happy, and found to be a good price.

I am the author and being in the business have a vested interest. I wrote this post to save having to answer the same questions over and over again, despite requests to make it a sticky it seems to fall on deaf ears.

I will not comment on other companies in open forum.

I will recommend fitters (who are my customers) but these fitters will only be my customers. Unless geographically it's more sensible to recommend other suppliers (mainly oop north as I'm darn sarf!).
