im all for customers not overpaying and enforcing their rights, but Premier is spot on with advice; basically you were aware that reads were transposed, intially paid nothing then paid token amount; knowing reads were transosed, you could easily have worked out the correct bill and paid this amount whilst pursuing your complaint/rectification

in summary you have been billed throughout, so only issue there if charged more units at higher rate is for eon to recaculate bill and issue refund/reduce (you dont state which way round); also if use approx less than 30% on night rate ask, as courtesy if eon can rebill on an unresticted rate basis

with regard to goodwill, if you had maintained monthly/quarterly payments on basis of what you calculated bill throughout, and subsequently proved to be (fairly) accurate, my experience is they are very good at doing so; that said you didn't and they won't (shouldn't). The difference is between a genuine mistake and a customer doing all they can, and a customer turning a blind eye, getting an interest free loan, and chancing their arm
