32" LCD HDTV..Pre or Post Xmas?

Hey, I've been allowed to pick out a HDTV I would like for christmas, and I'm thinking of getting a 32" LCD, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience/knowledge of whether the prices are likely to drop in the sales after Xmas? Obviously I don't expect people to 'know' what makes/models will drop, but just a guide as to whether its worth waiting

When the VAT dropped, apart from the first few weeks when the shops made a reduction, a £399 TV still cost £399. And in Jan, it will also be £399. They won't put it up to £407.67 ...

Shops work to price points, and the VAT reduction was a bit of a 'scam' in that respect. We, the Consumer, did not benefit - the shops did. Because after a few weeks, they put the prices back up, or stopped discounting the VAT, thinking we were all stupid and would not notice :mad:
