It means the seller has to have a certain amount of sales, and have a high percentage of those go well.

However, this doesn't mean that the items are actually genuine, as the buyers could have not noticed, or they could have only just started selling that product.

Personally I would ignore the badge and just pick someone who has a good track record of selling those items. (check their feedback)
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

hiya well lots and lots of people seem to buy them and most of the comments i've noticed seem positive

The Top rated Seller badge has been significantly discredited by ebay who have admitted that it is "gifted" to certain outlet sellers, despite a huge run of negative feedback.

There are a number of flaws in the system, such as many sellers who have 100% feedback are excluded, because some buyers leave low scores with positive feedback, and multiple purchases in a single transaction can lead to multiple low scores for a single loss in the post.

Looking at the link though, most of the TRS are much more expensive than the non-TRS. I'd buy on price and overall numbers of feedback.

ok thanks no offence to you but i'm not an ebay user so alot of the ratings would only apply to experience ebay users

There seems to be something a bit funny about that seller!

From the link to their items, it seems that everything they sell has "white strips" - from clothes to shoes to media items!

I'm assuming you are wanting the tooth whitening thing but there is definitely something odd about the way they have listed everything as "white strips" - instead of stripes which would be appropriate for their clothing items.

It's probably perfectly legitimate to drive traffic to other items but they seem to be a bit obsessed with white strips! It could be considered keyword spamming or maybe they just can't spell.

The link in the OP is to a general search term, not a specific seller!
