DRO and moving abroad

hi all,
massively interesting read so far.
and immediately have a question or maybe even a few...
my situation and background:
i am German and living in the UK for the past 5.5 years. i worked all the time but have been made redundant in March this year and found no work since. over the years i have built up some debts which i now clearly can't repay...
i will have to go back to Germany in January/February as i have no eligibility for any benefits probably as i was just too honest saying my partner earns a fantastic 13k a year. the fact that she was off sick for the last 4 months and only received SSP for the last 3 doesn't seem to matter much and to be quite honest i am sick off discussing over and over again with either incompetent or unsympathetic individuals in certain organisations, particularly after receiving contradicting information , depending on who you talk to on the day...
however i am now considering either BR or a DRO before i go back to Germany, as i want to avoid getting into trouble when i want to travel to the UK during 2010.
now there are a few points i am not quite sure of...
i want to do the honourable thing and somehow deal with my debts before i leave. i know of some people that just do a runner after going into debts but as they are not intending to return to the UK they might somehow get away with it. but as mentioned above i would like to return to the UK regularly, so that is not really an option. (what is actually the worst that might happen if you have debts and want to enter the country later???).
of BR i know two things already which are relevant. it can still be done even though i have to move abroad and i could include foreign country debts. does the same apply for DRO's?
will wait for first answers... am sure some more questions will come into my head during the discussion...
thanks anyone who bothers answering...

To be perfectly honest I don't know but I can't see a problem with it as long as your trustee has your contact details.0
