Wet passenger floor..
Just over a week ago i went through a huge puddle in a back lane, couldn't avaoid it or go back so hoped all would be ok. The next day the passenger floor appeared to be wet and i put it down to the puddle. BUT we have been away for the week, the car has been left on the drive and all the time we have had it hasn't leaked at all..the floor is again wet this morning and not sure how as we dried it all out before we left.
Any ideas what it could before pulling flooring up etc?
Thanks

Hmm looks like a trip to the garage i think then. Thanks0 -
Does the water smell sickly sweet? if so likely to be your heater matrix, make sure the engine water level is ok too, as this would be a clear sign.
Its usually a cheapish part, but 4-5 hours labour to change so adds up...0 -
I have MG ZR 3 door as well. Just reading the title of the thread, I wondered if it would be the same car as me.
I have had no problems with the wet passenger floor, but a friend with the same model has - it was the air conditioning system where it usually dumps all the accumulated water (from your breath and the air around) on to the road, instead it was leaking onto the passenger mat - it was quite a lot each time. (i'm not sure if this is the same as the heater matrix problem that Petree mentioned)
The only real way to check this is to not have the air con on at all for a week or so, and then stick it on. If it happens then, then thats it.
Hope this helps a bit.
PS my sunroof was leaking on the passenger side about a year ago, then it went all over the seat - the footwell is a bit far forward (assuming you didn't park it on a slope)0 -
Hi..it doesnt smell of anything tbh!..Mcfi5dhc i may sound totally blonde here but we only have the heating in ours not air con..there is no way in this weather i am driving round with no heating on! sunroof seems fine so will keep an eye on it..an no it hasnt been left on any slopes!
