items not delivered cant get money back yet

sorry my mistake.. we checked a tracking number wewere giving a couple of days ago and it said delivered but when we rang jane norman they said it could still be on its way. today when we called they then said it had been delivered. the post office wont say where the parcel was left. we have checked with neighbours i dont have a shed and have called the sorting office where it should go back to and they dont have it. i have again called them and told them what the consumer people have said. but they wont budge. have been told by consumer people to write to them giving them 14 days to either replace the goods oreturn the money. i live in a block of flats and i have seen plenty of times where the postman has delivered items and just left them outside the doors. we have already complained to the postoffice about this a number of times.0

But did you tell the Consumer Direct people that your order has been delivered but that you haven't had it? You really do need to speak to someone at your sorting office to find out if the postie can remember anything about delivering it.
As for demanding a refund within 14 days I don't think this would apply if the goods have technically been delivered as JN will have to make checks to find out where the parcel has gone. Sounds more like someone has stolen your parcel from outside your door in which case you should be reporting a mail theft.
If you have the tracking number why not try and track it yourself on Royal Mails website?0 -
yes we told consumer direct that jane norman and post office said it had been delivered. and i was told by consumer direct that the problem lies with jane norman and not us. until we have actually recieved it then the supplioer is resposnsible. we have treid tracking it it just says delivered nothing else. they also said we should write the letter give them 14 days and if still dont get any joy contact consumer advice and the matter will be taken further. we are waiting for another call from the shop they said they will call this morning.0

Was the item sent recorded/special delivery as you might be able to view a signature online if it was? It is up to Jane Norman to do all the running around but you would have to give them a reasonable amount of time to make their own investigation. Annoying I know, but if it has been delivered at your address then they will need info from royal mail to find out where it went. Other than that try and catch your postie and see if he/she can remember delivering it earlier in the week and find out where exactly they left it. Might be worth a trip to your local sorting office to see if you can speak to someone face to face, again annoying but if there is a means to an end.....0

you need to contact the supplier and confirm how they sent the item
for that value i would expect special dleivery.if so get the tracking number from them0
