Van Insurance Help

Hi guys just a quick little question regarding my van insurance.

First a little back story:

I was always a bit wary of driving and until now have never had a job that requires me to drive anywhere. I've been in the plumbing business for a while now but always worked with a driver. Times change and it turns out that its a hell of a lot easier if I can drive.

Anyway I'm 29 and passed my driving test a few months ago (also my pass plus) and am looking to get some insurance for my van i recently acquired (2002 2 litre Ford Transit) that will be used to lug around plumbing materials etc.

I asked around a few friends at work (also drive vans) and a few of them reckon that this site was a good one to go to:

http://www.adrianflux.co.uk/vans/

At the moment the deal is processing and they reckon I should hear from them within 24 hours (i completed the quote form).

Just looking to know what kind of price would be a good one etc, so I know what I'm looking for. Or in fact if there are any other sites I can look at?

Cheers for any help,

Mike

What are you looking to insurer against? Is it just vehicle risks or also the contents of the vehicle? Do you have any other business insurances in place as these may cover your tools? You may also want to look at a standard van policy plus a separate tool policy if other insurances dont cover it.

For standard van policies you can look at an aggregator like confused.com/van-insurance

There are plenty of other aggregators if you prefer the meerkat or such? :D

Bear in mind most of the policies that cover your tools in your van will exclude cover overnight unless the van is in a locked garage. So make sure you read the small print so you know what you are buying

Confused only use Gladiator for Vans (who also offer tool cover as well) so if you want to look around at others it would be worth using Go Compare also as they have a much wider range of providers.
All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.

Why can't they give you a quote there and then? Why wait 24 hours? Is this how long it takes them to do anything?

    He was joking.

If you have a girlfirend / spouse it can sometimes reduce the premium if you add them.

Van Insurance can be expensive the first year, you might find a better deal on an estate as car insurance is often a lot cheaper. It might be worth trying a couple of quotes on some estate cars

    Aha Ok :P.

Problem there mate, is that I've already got the Van (had to buy it as I got an amazing deal on it that was literally a once only offer from a mate)
