Hi, My mum used to make Rumtopf, and she used to cut the large strawberries into bite size or if they were small leave them whole, she used to cut the peaches into bite sizes. We do miss her Rumtopfs as she has now passed away. This thread has brought back many memories for me and I think that i will have to find out the Rumtopf Pot and make some this year.
Good luck with your "topf" :D

There's a mention of rumtopf in an older thread which includes a useful link that you might like to browse:-

my runtopf is well and truly ready. I made it with dark rum and it is stuffed full of fruits. We had some last week and it tastes lovely and a bit strong. Now I`m wondering how on earth to serve it. I know there is ice cream, yoghurt etc. I actually put a little on some rice pudding but I could do with ideas otherwise it`ll still be full this summer

What about dolloping it over slices of plain cake, then covering with cream - trifle !

Or make a pavlova with rumtopf on the top, ooh yummy !:)
