I have just been told by a work colleague that if I was to leave a boiler repair man/handyman in my house alone to do his job while I am at work it will invalidate my home insurance?
In this instance the boiler repair man is my dad and the handyman is my brother so they're not complete strangers, but I do know that when my husband was a handyman he was often left alone in the customer house to do the work.

Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning

No doubt there are Insurance Companies which will attempt to wriggle out of paying up on these grounds. The definitive answer depends on your home insurance.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Total Rubbish !! You have answered your own question if they are family members,Why worry about stuff like this? How does the Insurance Company know if you were at home anyway? BUT if your family members were your tradesmen they may or may not have thier own public liability insurance.OH THE JOYS OF BEING SELF-EMPLOYED!! Can Travel,Will Work For Free!0

Tradesmen, family or not (if you are paying them) are not covered on your home insurance,That is why we have our own Its called Public Liability Insurance and most of the time the value is more than £1 million cover.OH THE JOYS OF BEING SELF-EMPLOYED!! Can Travel,Will Work For Free!0
