does anyone know why when i do a google searchor any search i keep getting usa sites up first.it wasn't always like this. is there something wrong with my settings?

Google frequently juggle around their results listings normallly they settle back into their familiar patterns quickly enough.
First off I would check to see that you not chnaged your locale settings. Go to Start > Control Panel > Regional & Language Options and ensure you have United Kingdom as the location.
If you persistently get irrelevant results for a particular query, tell Google :

A short term solution might be <search criterea> +uk
