I have windows xp with firewall, Norton internet security, and windows defender.
I turn the firewall on but every time I start my pc the security centre says that the firewall is off and recommends switching it on
Please can any one help?

Disable windowx xp firewall in the security centre.
In Norton control panel make sure it's checked to start automatically when you boot into windows.
Windows defender is a spyware app it is always on unless disabelled.
It does not appear in the notification area but runs in the background.
Never have more than 1 firewall running at anyone time.

If you want to test your firewall security etc, go here and click on 'Shieldsup'.
