  • Well I've already paid £60 deposit with them to get isured (last tuesday) could i get that refunded? If so what insurer will sort out the NCD situation for me, without paying over the odds for insurance.

They charge £25 for a cancellation within 14 days.

Most other insurers would accept your "old" proof, but you still are faced with the £75 to pay to let your current policy just run to expiry (as suggested by mattymoo in post # 7).

Whatever your decision, read the swiftcover policy and make sure you are happy with it (they are awkward over other things, not just only accepting NCD from your previous insurer).

eg. No NCD is awarded if you make a glass claim during the year

You agree to them using "recycled" parts when repairing your car

If you want to use your own choice of repairer, they will only pay out what they would pay their own repairer.

They extend the car needing to be "roadworthy" to include an MOT certificate being in place.

They are brokers rather than an insurer.

I think I'm just going to have to cave in... The cancellation price has now gone up to £117 by the way - they told me "if your gonna cancel, do it now or we'll add interest everyday"

    W*nkers!
