Home Security Alarm System

Hi
I am wanting to install an alarm at my home. I was looking at the Yale Premium Alarm when it was £99 at argos but they messed up and wouldn't let me have it after i had reserved it for collection and they had it in stock but the computers weren't working right so they refused! (long story, i won't bore ya).
Anyway from researching forums it seems it would be better to go with a wired system. I am wanting somethng that will call me automatically if the alarm goes off and one that either comes with or is expandable so that i can add extra PIR's if required and window/door sensors.
Does anyone know of a good system i could use for this and where i can get a good price? I am moving into my new house on Dec 18th and i would like to get the alarm installed straight away. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Alumbo, I know this isn't very helpful as I'm just going to recommend the Yale Premium Alarm which I picked up for £99 as you mention above. It has all the above features, can add PIR's, easily self fitted and wireless.0

I got my alarm from Response Alarms, it was easy to fit, wireless and solar.
They have a good helpline that talks you through any problems. I bought it 2yrs ago and it stopped working last week, i phoned on monday and despite being well out of guarantee he waited on the phone while i got it working again.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Hi
Thanks for the responses. Most of the forums i have read have suggested that the wireless kits are prone to go off due to interference from other wireless devices in the home. Have you come across this with your systems?
I would still get the Yale Premium Alarm but i am just reluctant because the cheapest price is now £160 and i am still mad with Argos because i should of had it for £99. They had it there in the shop and i had reserved it for collection in that shop but they said there computers were playing up and because they could not see it on their system the could not sell it. I now hate Argos . Anyway, enough of that, I'm obviously not bitter
. I may just have to splash out.
Any thoughts on a wired system? Any recommendations?
