I bought a panasonic charger with batteries a while back, can I only use panasonic batteries or can I buy other batteries?
Quite strange about Panasonic - the instructions that came with the Panasonic portable cd player I bought said that the supplied power unit would also recharge Panasonic rechargeable batteries if they were installed, and it does, but no other make of rechargeables.0 -
Just battled my way through a bunch of surprisingly feisty, elbow-charging, bargain-hunting pensioners at the Lancaster branch and bagged me a few packs.
They're NiMh batteries, as follows:
AAA - 750 mAh (4 pack)
AA - 2100 mAh (4 pack)
C - 3500 mAh (2 pack)
D - 3500 mAh (2 pack)
9v - 200 mAh (single)
They're also doing the universal chargers that can handle all the above sizes for £3.99.
Good deal, imho!!0 -
Not quite so nuch elbow-charging at Ilkeston this morning, but everybody was heading for the batteries.
Girl on checkout wondered why we needed so many batteries!
Still quite a few there, when we left.0 -
Quite a few left in leicester this morning.0

loads left in sutton-in -ashfield store a couple of hours ago. Not many people going for them so I am sure there will be plenty tomorrow and later in week.
I saw AA,AAA,C & D and 9V

Asda sell recharger with 4 AA NI MH batteries (2100 mAmps) for £7-97. Dont think the charger does AAA and it was a some foreign brand. Need to check again when back in store.0

WARNING!......I am not saying this will happen to anyone else but.......
After buying 4 lots of rechargeables today from Aldi and being very happy with it, on the last set to charge my charger stopped working , it had started to charge but then after a few minutes gave up the ghost. Thing is we are not talking cheap charger here, this is a Ansmann Digispeed4 which cost me over £50 :mad:. It could be that the thing had just had enough with four lots in a row, but as you would expect when you pay that much for a charger you get a quality item and it has never let me down before. If anyone else has this problem though I would be interested to know, as I am sure would Aldi

ollyk wrote:The important bit is not so much Ni-Cad or Ni Mh, but actually how many Amp hours the batteries are able to deliver. Usually says somthing like 2100mAh on the battery side. Maplin have a pack of four 2500mAh batteries at half price for £7.99 at the moment!
Like anything you get what you pay for!
7.99 - well expensive.....i buy mine on ebay.....such as from vapextech
16 x 2700 AA for 18.00 delivered, not as heap as the lidl ones, but I bet the batteries arent in the shops!!Stevie Coppell's record breaking blue and white royal army - championship winners 2005-60 -

I bought some from Lidl the last time they had them and they exploded. Trading Standards have asked me to send one off to Lidl for testing.0
