Hi I don't know :confused:the best place to post this, so as this is a very friendly board I'm trying here first.:A

DS birthday yesterday and he has been sent 2 xbox games (sealed ) he already has, no receipt. Is there anywhere that will exchange them? Think I am best to this today/tomorrow, any ideas / info greatly received/
Thanks in advance for this and all the other help:A

Happy and peaceful Christmas one and all

I would say any store that actually sells the games you son got would be willing to exchange. All you/he has to say is that he got it as a present so he doesn't have a receipt but he would like to exchange it for another game.;)

If the Council spent the money on grit for the roads then they won't have that money to put towards their pensions! Politician = self gain.

I work for a council, (right at the bottom unfortunately) and it is disheartening when people criticise us all the while. Where do you think the people who grit the roads come from? They are not sitting round all year just in case it snows once every 5 years. They do other jobs normally, such as street cleaning and dustbin emptying. They can not be in 2 places at once. They can not work all day, then drive gritters all night, would you want to? I don't drive the gritters myself, but I think some consideration and thanks should be given to my colleagues that do. I know this will be removed, as it is nothing to do with shopping, but I just had to say it.
  • My Xmas shopping has been done all over the place. I must admit Tesco here was heaving when I popped in there last night. I couldn't believe how stacked out the carpark was. I ojnly went for essentials .. ie wine, plus a few other bits, lol. Even then I was only drawn in by the fact I had a £10 off of a £40 wine spend, plus a Somerfield conditional £3 moc.

When I buy presents I always keep the receipt, but send the present. Could you ask who ever sent it if they have done that, I am sure they wouldn't mind, there is no point in keeping a game you already have. I would rather send the receipt so you could change it.

I don't think anyone would critcise the people doing the gritting - just the fact that the councils aren't making sure its done. The roads and paths around here are atrocious - not just the side roads. If there aren't enough people to do the work then something needs doing, cos they spout off about how prepared they are to keep the roads safe and then it doesn't happen and people get hurt/killed.

    Soz, also off topic. :o

You could try CEX if you have one near you, they buy or exchange games (although sometimes you don't get the best price).

  • I have been out of circulation for the past week or so, helping my parents move house- nightmare! everything that could have gone wrong, has, & contracts were only exchanged last night at 5pm (at 3pm, it was all looking decidely dodgy, still ) They are living with us at present, while the sale of their new house goes through, so I`ll either be an alcoholic, or in an asylum before too long.... Just wanted to say, the queue for T`s was horrendous yesterday, so bypassed, & drove a few extra miles to Morrisons, where it wasn`t nearly so bad- the veg looked far fresher, too......well worth doing, methinks! Let`s hope for lots of USEABLE vouchers next year (do your dance, Mad! :D)
