I have to warn any of you who shop in Waitrose that I was told today by one of their assistants that their policy will change in January to the effect that you will then have to purchase the product in order to use a coupon. I really hope I was told wrong, has anyone else heard this please?

If this is the case I really urge everyone to search for more coupons as if you are like me very few of the coupons we have on here are for products I wish to purchase and this thread will need to concentrate on coupons that make products cheap.

By the way I received my Castello calendar today with loads of 20p coupons in the back. Thanks to whoever posted.

Have heard that rumour previously. However, upon making purchases at said establishment had a near trouting. Girl on the checkout took me coupons and started reading out the t's & c's to me  Totally blanked her and beckoned over the supervisor. She started spouting out the t's & c's too:eek: Bearing in mind she always authorises me MOC's I asked if the coupon policy had changed overnight:D She said it hadn't, so I said I'd like to speak to a manager for a final and definitive answer. She disappeared to the phone.

Meanwhile, the queue was building up behind me and I could hear the usual huffing and puffing. I glanced down the line and old plod was there too:eek: "Good evening officer" :D:D:D No reply

Anyhoo, supervisor came back and said yes we can take the coupons if we sell the product. Was going to say the obvious but declined. However, she did refuse me warburton's pancake one:rotfl:

SA said nowt to Mad as I slowly, very slowly, I mean really really slowly carefully packed ill gained goods.

As I left she apologised to the next customer (not old plod) for the wait. To which I replied "not a problem, hopefully you'll be quicker next time"

Mad had to remove half a dozen daggers from back when exiting premises :p
