  • Just spotted this post on PTS, sounds like we could have some fun with this one and not a coupon in sight :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Thanks to Microjan on PTS
    possible BOGOF later, glitch
ok let me try and explain and see if this makes sense.

Melon pre packs 400g £2 each, sign up saying buy one now get another later.
But i wanted them both now so this is what i did
Bought the first one with my shopping and paid the £2 for it, got my normal receipt plus a till spit for my free pack dated up to 31/01/10.

I then used a different cc and used the till spit and got the second one free. so all well and good, but got another till spit for another free pack, so, i will be getting 3 packs for £2.

I wonder if i will get another one when i use this till spit????????????

Hope it makes sense, and i don,t know if it will work with anything else, or how long it will last, before they catch on, staff didn,t know what it was all about anyway.

hope it works for someone else, i would be very interested to know ? biggrin.gif

Just checked out my latest receipts and the £10 Waitrose is listed as coupon as are all the other scanned mocs ,but the F/Food mocs are under Competitor Cond and I do remember it was scanned in first, then the F/Food and then all the others...maybe my store has set the tills up for them...

It does scan, but they have to type in the amount manually. Thats why end digits are 999, any coupon over £9.99 has to have amount manually imput.

Evening, just reporting I did well again in Wilkinsons today, used 2 x Johnsons Baby soft wash coupons which were on sale at 95p each. You can see these on the website so for 45p each were quite a good deal :j. Bought 4 Rustlers with BOGOF coupons and they are still on offer so 97p for two is another good deal :jand lastly used one Airwick on a bathroom spray for £1.99 so this was free:j

The new Finish product is £9.99 in Sainsbury but this is the only place Ive seen it, too expensive at the mo for me even with the £3 off but hopefully it will be reduced somewhere before my coupons go out of date.

I think this product will always br priced at £9.99 as I have been sent a coupon to get it for free and the bar code ends in something like 9991 indicating I will get £9.99 deducted at the till.

Just a heads up for everyone......

I have been in waitrose tonight, have been using vouchers there for 10 years and was told that Waitrose is about to withdraw voucher usage as other stores have.

It was the manager who told me as I know them all quite well, I asked if it was local or National and she said it was a national move by waitrose.

She said she did not yet have an exact start date for this new policy.

I guess it was only a matter of time since they were left as the only store still accepting voucher.

    I'm gutted....

Update on my message above, The date is now out Waitrose will stop accepting vouchers (unless you buy the product) from the end of January and will start giving out cards to voucher users from next week, the cards will explain the new policy.

Further Update to my posts above, Waitrose are now giving out the official cards stating their new voucher policy from 1st Janurary 2010.

    Got mine today :(

It did. I didn't buy them last night, but bought the sprays on Tuesday. :)

Thats the thing. I'd have maybe picked them up just cos they were on offer before, but now, I'm less likely to stock up on things we use, just cos they are on offer in Tesco, unless I have a moc for them too.

Instead of doing 99.9% of my shopping at Tesco, I now do a fair bit of it at Morrisons, plus Asda and Sainsburys, so they get a good share of my random purchases/i,pulse buys now and I am spending MUCH less at Tesco. As far as I can see, only having had limited moc savings, I am no worse off now than I was before moc policy changed, as I make savings elsewhere with better prices/offers/reductions. I may even be better off, never having kept a tally of my moc savings.
went in T to get a couple of dove sprays with coupons and there weren't many customers in there compared to how busy it used to be
I now go where the offers are that suit me and as I could only use 5 coupons anyway I am saving just as much as before and the sa's are much more helpful and pleasant too which is a bonus
    I am not a beige person:D

I could only use 5 mocs per shop too and have also noticed that the store is not as busy as it used to be. What a pity... :rotfl:

Most of you probably already know, but I hadn't used it yet, because of the excess free hovis in the freezer, but the kingsmill 50p coupon (prints 2) bread is 2 for £1.50 in Asda and Sainsbury's and only 75p in Tesco
