barclays card Q!

Hi. I applied for a barclays card and I was approved and recieved my card but the same day I also got a letter from them saying there was a problem with my application and to send 4 more documents, which i did, this was about a week and half ago and not heared anything. Does anyone know how long this takes or should I call? Thanks lauren

  • You've nothing to lose calling. You could at least call to check they got the documents.

    You did send the by some method of recorded deliver didn't you?

    Given the time of year, you can understand the delay though.

    well i got the docs back today saying sorry for the inconvience, your account is now activated but still no pin! So rang and it was sent out end of NOV :confused: They going to send another one but can use card online! thanks for replies lauren:beer:

    I had this same thing today with Barclaycard Simplicity. The card arrived this morning, but when I tried to activate it, it put me through to the activations team. They also wanted four/five documents (two pay slips, two bank account statements and a utility bill of some sort). The very helpful gentleman told me I could pop into the local Barclays and they would fax them in for me (and he gave me the fax number and contact number so I could call back). Or I could post them.

    I went to the local branch, they helpfully faxed in the documents, and when I returned home and called in again, the card was activated. It was pretty painless really.
