If using Internet Explorer try installing Firefox or Google Chrome as an alternative. FF has instant text size zoom in or our via Ctrl + and Ctrl -

When you do an image search just click on the image, then in the top bar click on "see full-size image".

However, some images re-direct you elsewhere, or (as with rights protected images) it won't let you download the image.

Regarding your text size - if you have tried changing the settings in the "view" section of your browser menubar - then maybe you have added a plug-in recently?
  • Are you using a PC or a Mac? I've had a similar issue since updating my Mac OS X software last week, but a clean reinstall fettled it. I love that word fettled!

Clicking on a Google searched image here also brings up a whole page, I have to click "See Full Sized Image" in order to get just the image on it's own (same in both IE and F). Once I clicked Full Size Image I can right click on the image itself and use Copy. Not sure where we diverge - how exactly are you trying to paste the image into a site?

Also, regarding Text Size, presumably you did try View > Text Size > Medium?
