hi, was wondering if anyone could offer advice, I shelled out £500 on a icandy pear double pram, iv had it since 28th april and since then iv had to have the front wheel replaced twice due to it buckling..........
today whilst crossing a linkway the front wheels stuck sideways and buckled and wouldnt move in the middle of the road, my little boy was thrown forward and was very verh upset, must have hurt him.
so i called the shop which isnt local and he said he doesnt know how its happened, im the only person whose had a prob and three times! all he can do is offer me a new wheel.
im not happy, i dont feel my kids are safe as it nearly tipped too................
he said iv no chance of a refund, he will send the chassis to manufacturer and loan me a chassis.
iv totally lost faith in this product
am i within my right to ask for a refund??

Have you tried ringing consumer direct and asking for their advice? It helps having someone on your side and knowing your rights when you make a complaint.0

I contacted them twice to see what my rights ar, it is a grey area with refunds after owning it for over 6 months, the thing is iv asked for a refund earlier when it broken the first time, and second (within 6 months)
iv done some research and am going to send them a recorded delivered letter tomoro asking for a refund as it isnt fit for purpose
thanks0 -
It certainly doesn't see to be very long for an expensive pram to last. If you have proof of the first couple of repairs I would photocopy it and include it in your letter. Just because nobody else has had this problem doesn't mean that you haven't been sold a faulty one.
When my son was a lot younger I had an expensive pushchair and the wheel fell off and rolled under a metro train. Boots sent it off for a free repair it but made me feel like they were doing me a favour However, the same wheel fell off a coiuple of weeks later. I really wish that I had pursued that fault further so try your best. Especially by pushing the safety issue0
