Join in blackout roller blinds

I need six blackout roller blinds. Problem is four are for patio doors so require a join 20 to 29 cms down from tube.
I have been assured, that it appears as a line rather than a join and is quite common on large blinds.
I hope someone out there has them and can reassure me that the join looks ok. I have two quotes, £380.00 who say's it looks alright. The other £470.00 who say's I will hardly notice it.
It's a lot of money if I can't stand the join.!

Blackout or shade. Roller blinds will not give 100% blackout as the brackets are not flush to the wall. If they are fitted inside the recess, the light will get around the sides too. Better to fit overlapping sides by 100mm +
Blackout fabric will not let light thru' but the blind sides, top and bottom will. The join you speak of will let light through stitching holes but not really be an issue if joined in the centre.
The only true blackout system is a cassette that has slides on the edges and cassettes top and bottom. These will be a lot more £££££'s0 -
For those looking for cheap, ordinary black-out blinds; The Range (CDS) do them ranging from £12 to £20. Really good and easy to fit!
OP, the poles are metal, so i dont think you could cobble two together?
Joining lengthwise would be possible though, and not show too much! Sew with french seams to lie nice and flat!
Why not buy 2 and have a go yourself? Much cheaper!0 -

I was simply asking if anyone had a a join in theirs and whether they could live with it?0
