My understanding is that it's for new course registrations not new students. There'll be other modules. I've just paid for mine with Tesco vouchers - all £995 of it! Just start saving up now for the next one.
cor - well done! (what course you doing?)
but it does mean I'm confused now!(easily done!)
This is on the Tesco site: Deals Tokens are only valid for NEW registrations and must be redeemed at the time of registration.
I thought that meant that as I'd already registered with OU and started a course then I wont be NEW when I do another. so I guess it means registering for a new COURSE - but I thought this was just to get people introduced to the OU and for new students.
I've been saving Nectar points as I walk past a sainsbury's after work but I'd go out of my way if it mean't I was collecting points for another OU course.
also, how do you collect the points... I get sent a £2.50 vouchers then my online balance goes back to zilch... is there something I have to do to 'keep' the points on my card rather than receive the vouchers? or do you enter a reference number from the voucher online at OU????
I might email Tesco and ask if I can collect points for this even though I'm not 'new'.
Hope I can - want to do another in 3 months (I'm just doing entry level at the moment - hopefully go full time uni next year).

I suppose that would make sense too. But you can't pay for ALL the modules in one go so it must be talking about as you register for the course.also, how do you collect the points... When you get sent the vouchers and your balance resets, just keep the vouchers safe somewhere (making sure they don't expire in the meantime) and when you want to register for a new course, you can order OU Deals Tokens on Tesco.com and you input the codes online from the vouchers you have been storing up. Then Tesco sends you the OU Deals Tokens which you send to the OU with your course registration form. You can register online for the course but instead of paying with a CC you just select that you are going to pay by another method, then post the Deals Tokens.

but how much is the txt? some of these things charge 50p or a £1 - and what is 100 tescos points worth - probably being tedious  but I thought I'd just check.Light bulb moment April 07: [strike]£3,655 [/strike] Oct 07: [strike]£2,220[/strike] now 0 - 3 years of Uni debt to be added at a later datenow at Uni as a Mature student -update: now has a First Class BA!0 -
This is the deal that lilmissmup mentioned:
(originally posted by "svs" somewhere, then "41hardwick" on rpoints).
You're signing up to get text messages about offers and events in the Colney Hatch Tesco - they're refurbishing it apparently, and I expect they're trying to hold onto their customers...but how much is the txt? some of these things charge 50p or a £1 - and what is 100 tescos points worth - probably being tedious  but I thought I'd just check.
It would appear that the text messages are free (100 points are worth £4 in deals) :cool:0 -

I signed up, and I live in Birmingham! Have to wait and see if I get the points though... Does anyone know if there's a way to check your clubcard points balance online?0 -
Yes - if you have ever done an online delivery, go to my account on tesco.com, and then my clubcard and it will tell you your current balance (minus any bonus clubcard points which sometimes take more time to appear)0
