advice re pc world/hfc

yet more fun.....
I've phoned HFC up cancelled the policy, wrote them a letter trying to reclaim the monies I've paid, all of a sudden I've had a letter off PC World asking for the following information:- A copy of the finance agreement entered into with HFC
|A copy of the purchase agreement
Details of any claims made in respect of the agreement
Why you feel that you have been mis-sold PPI, along with details whom you have contacted to discuss this issue
Supporting evidence you have to substantiate your claim.

Should I do anything? PC world should have a record of everything, when i phoned up a year ago to see if there was any insurance I was informed theyre wasnt, I think its a bit strange because the finance agreement was taken out with the HFC Pc world only ever filled out the paperwork, I remeber I asked for the agreement not to have insurance!!

has anybody any advice??

    Hi Dave

Maybe a SAR (Subject Access Request) would be a good idea, that's if you require paperwork from their data dept.
There is a cost of £10 for this request and they have 40 days to comply.
Post by recorded delivery, for your proof of posting.
SAR template letter on the link below:

If you have already sent them a letter to reclaim, I take it you have put your reasons on the letter for why you believe you were mis sold, if this is the case write to tell them to refer to your letter, they still have 8 weeks to send you a decision, if they do not resolve in your favour, then move on to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS).

Good luck and please keep us posted.;)
