Where can I get some sun in September?

I wonder if anyone can help with ideas?

We are looking to go away late september of this year and fancy 2 weeks somewhere nice and hot.

Not mega bucks though!

Thanks!

    How about the Canary Islands?

    Have you been to any?
    Know any nice areas?

We would be after a nice hotel, with lots to do and see. A choice of restaurants and bars would be nice, but I'd like to stay away from the "party capital" areas, if you know what I mean.

My parents own an apartment in Tenerife so I've been there a few times. Its in a place called Los Cristianos. Along the coast is Playa de Las Americas which is the 'lager, lager, lager' resort. I like Los Cristianos because its quiet enough but there's loads of restaurants and bars and if, on the odd night you want to go a bit mad, it is easy to get to Las Americas.

Prices for food and drink are very reasonable when you're there.

Where would you be flying from?

Cheers. Sounds just the kind of thing we are after.
Would be flying from any London airport.

Is it still plenty warm there in late September?

It usually is, yes. I once went late September and the temp went way over 100F! That was a freak heatwave though!

I had a quick look on SkyScanner and you could go from Luton with Monarch for around £125 each. Travel dates are 20 September to 4 October.

I would also recommend Egypt, either Sharm El Sheikh or Luxor, the weather will be fantastic, and you can get some excellent deals in Sept. We are going in June and have only paid £149 pp for a five star hotel on a BB basis.

One small note on Los Cristianos... we went there approx 4 years ago and it was full of Brits (Bit like Blackpool) it was nice enough, however I would never return.

Suppose it depends what you’re looking for, but I would choose Egypt every time.
  • have you thought about turkrey the weather is beautiful in september the resorts i suggest are iclemer or marmaris(but choose a quiet area) we are off in october to marmaris very cheap too xxxxx
