JSA Options after 6 months - Help

Hello, can anyone help? I have been unemployed for just over 6 months.
My personal advisor initially mentioned a self employment scheme - which I didn't jump at, needing time to think of a business idea. Now I am being pushed towards a re-training scheme.
I am interested in both schemes, my question is: If I go for the re-training scheme am I ruling out the option of self-employment?
I have a feeling that this is the case and would prefer the self employment option
Does anyone know?
Richard

You really need to make your mind up as best you can, like anything, as it will help you & help them.I am interested in both schemes, my question is: If I go for the re-training scheme am I ruling out the option of self-employment?

Committment is a key to success, if you're not committed you may not put in the effort.
Ask your advisor, doing one may not rule out other, but it's best to check.
But both are significant changes, self-employment or retraining, so it's best you consider beforehand as you could make a mistake & waste your time.
You need to make a decision & go with it.0
