pram broke after a week!

Options
Hi, my sister bought a pram online from a retailer based in Lincolnshire. However, a wheel has fell after just one week of very occasional use. They have collected the pram and say it will be at least 2 weeks before its repaired and would she like to hire one out from them at a cost of £24 delvery charge? Surely thats not right, how is she supposed to be able to transport a newborn baby without a pram? Are buyers not entitled to a refund in this case?

It's possible that she should be entitled to a full refund being that the you could argue that a week is within a reasonable time for the fault to be discovered. If they do choose to repair they must do so without leaving you significantly inconvenienced. If you can't get them to give you a full refund under the Sale of Goods Act then specify that they should give you the loan pram for free whilst yours is being repaired.
