Getting errors tcp/ip cp 736 and tcp/ipv6 cp 733 help please

My Dad can't get on his BB connection but can make and receive phone calls, he has got tcp/ip cp 736 and tcp/ipv6 cp 733 codes coming up when he tries to connect. He is running vista, BT and the landline providers and orange are BB providers.
Can anyone give us some pointers to try and resolve this.

Having looked those errors up it seems your father is using a USB modem which means the problem could be a number of things and I'm not familiar with any of them.
I will ask what has changed to stop it working and suggest that buying a router would make life simpler and the connection more efficient and secure.
Meanwhile if the usb modem was provided by Orange (which I'm betting it was) then their support line should have a script handy for going through the fault diagnosis and setup.0
