send a fax over the internet

Hi people
Is it possible to send a fax over broadband . I havent got a fax machine and need to send a fax , i have typed out in microsoft word . Any ideas ??

There are a few online companies that will fax over the net for you, some charged, some didn't. Can't remember any as I looked into a while ago, but I found them via google.

Do you have a dial-up (56k) modem? They usually have faxing capabilities.

There's a program called KSE Truefax which used to come with most modems - try googling for them, see if they have a free trial or something? HTH!
