Free HTML website recomendations?

Have made a website for a friend, using the drag n drop flash free website wix. problem is, I hate it, and it takes so long to load ( being flash )

So can anyone recommend a free HTML based one so i can write my own code, and it wont be so busy!
In the past I would have used geocities, but dont know what others there are out there, and a google just brings up more drag n drop flash sites;

Don't tar all the flash-based ones with the wix brush. Have u tried https://www.moonfruit.com ? Flash-based but far faster than wix ( and has full seo-friendly non-flash version of your site too for visitors without flash ). Has a free version, obv.

Or sites.google.com...

Yeah but it is not free. May be you can use simple notepad++ editor.

MS Visual Web developer is my tool of choice. Its free, has good syntax highlighting and is reasonably simple to use.

Used to use a prog called AceHTML, there is a free version and its quite good!

i have to vouch for dreamweaver. There is nothing else like it on the market.
