Need a cheap wardrobe

I have moved into this new place and have no wardrobe in the room, only some chested drawers. I was looking at those canvas wardrobes in Argos last week but they've put the price back up. Does anyone know where I can get a cheap wardrobe with shelves? The canvas one in Argos is now £60 so don't really want to spend any more than that, but hopefully less. It needs to have some shelf space as I have a lot of stuff in boxes I need to find a home for!

Slightly more than your budget i recommend the Ikea wardrobe for storage. I have 3 of these - one in each of the bedrooms and they are invaluable to me. Easy to build and store no end of stuff in them.

That looks quite good actually. It is a bit more than I was intending to spend though but it would look nicer than a canvas wardrobe. I guess it would be easier to sell on to a future tenant if I ever moved out.

Is the weight on the webpage correct? 103.2kg?! Do you know if Ikea would deliver from their branch as doesn't seem to be orderable from their website? Did you fix yours to the walls as it asks, or just leave them freestanding?

Look on your local freecycle - our local one has all sorts including pcs and full bedroom suites free. Google freecycle and your area.

It is very heavy and comes in two boxes - which we struggled to get in to the back of a picasso. We have not attached it to the walls as we do slide it out of situ every few weeks to clean behind.

As for delivery im not sure as have never had anything delivered from Ikea before. From what i have seen tho Ikea products do sell quite well on ebay. HTH.

Thanks - I might pop down there and see if I can arrange delivery, or give them a call. Transport could be a bit of a mare in a small hatchback

Thanks for the link - It's maybe a little bit too expensive for me. I'm renting at the moment so only want something fairly cheap. I might consider spending £80 on something a bit better than a canvas one as I could maybe sell it (if not, it's only £20 addiitonal sacrifice).

please check out your British Heart Foundation shops. They now do all sorts of household goods. You will be pleasantly surpised.
