There is a thumbs up on the first page. " Your bill is based on an actual meter reading"
But it isn't. That's my point. The day meter reading is higher than the reading is today! Their meter reading was 2488 up to Nov 14th, and yet on the day I received the bill,(I think 9th Dec) the actual meter reading was 2332!
"This is your final electricity bill ....until November 14th"
But it isn't. The meter has obviously not been read and yet when I bought this up with them, it was explained as an estimated reading.
Also both the night and day usage was exactly the same number of units. This is never the case as I have night storage heating and night water heating.
The reading appears to have been picked out of a hat.
I posted this here because I thought people need to be aware that this goes on.
I might have just paid up.

Thank you Somniac for highlighting this. We're moving to a place that currently has SE as the supplier. Needless to say, I'll be changing the supplier asap. At least I know what tricks they may get up to.

So that's SSE, BG and nPower I guess you are avoiding.

Not many left are there? Best of luck with your switch to Ovo ;)

Edit: or is SP your favourite supplier? Looks like you've decided against First Utility too.

Just to add, there is a very stupid problem with Southern Electric's billing system where when a final bill is sent based on an estimated reading the there is a thumbs up indicating it's actual. I would have thought this would have been fixed by now.
