I'm in the process of setting up a company- how do I set up an e-mail with my company name in my e-mail. I'm sure this is a totally blonde question ( I am blonde) -have done the google search bit but wondered if there was an MSE way?

You need to register a domain, e.g. https://www.mycompany.co.uk then route or setup mailboxes on that domain e.g. sarah@mycompany.co.uk etc
Have an look at https://www.123-reg.co.uk0 -
The way I did it (for personal use) was to register a domain name (e.g. myname.com) via 123-reg.co.uk, which costs virtually nothing - £3/year or something.
I then set up a free email account with GMX (say, esuhl1234@gmx.com), and set the "sender" in GMX to be professional-name@myname.com.
So.... any mail sent to professional-name@myname.com gets forwarded to esuhl1234@gmx.com. When I reply, I'm using GMX, but the senders address is set to professional-name@myname.com.
Basically, anyone emailing me can send mail to professional-name@myname.com and sees replies from the same address, but I'm actually using esuhl1234@gmx.com.
Hope that makes sense...0 -

I'd not recommend 1&1 either professionally or personally, they are one of the worst suppliers I have ever come into contact with.
As esuhl says, just route the email from your domain supplier, either to your ISP email, or to a newly setup address as mentioned.0
