Need to rid myself of..................

I've just googled for three wheeled rollators and looked at a few results, but one of the websites appears to have locked onto me and each time I change websites, that particular website comes up. I wouldn't advise you to look unless you know how to rid yourself of it, which I don't, it is :-

I've deleted history in the hope it would go but it didn't. Does anyone know how to get rid of it please.

WHat happened when you visited the site?

Any pop-ups or anything like that?

Did it ask you to install anything, and whats happening with your pc now?

I might go have a look at it in a minute, when i can get on pc not connected to work network.

Have you run Ccleaner and Malwarebytes?
That gum you like is coming back in style.

You could try deleting cookies, and check it has not set itself as your home page.

It is worth checking out though in case something nasty is in there (possibly from another site), so scan with MalwareBytes - install, update, full scan, fix and post the log here. Then reboot and use HijackThis - full scan, don't fix anything, just post the log.

If it is your search results being redirected then i feel you may have the 7.7.7.7 or a variant of it, which most of the commercial scanners dont ever seem to get rid of correctly, but it can be done quite simply.

Go for the Malaware Bytes scan, and hijack this, and post logs will soon see if it is.

Thanks to each of you. All appears to be well now. Whatever it was, it has cleared itself (fingers crossed).
